Entre Ríos Cooperative | San Marcos, Guatemala | 1,250–1,500 Meters Above Sea Level
Fully Washed · Patio Dried
Tasting Notes: Dark Chocolate · Honey · Strawberry
Founded in 2009, Cooperative Entre Ríos was built on a simple conviction: that smallholder farmers working together could achieve more than any one of them could alone. After years within a larger organization, the co-op's members took a defining step in 2018 — electing new leadership, securing independent certification, and charting their own course.
That independence was strengthened by a lasting partnership with Los Volcanes Coffee, who stepped in as the cooperative's exclusive buyer and provided the consistent market access that allows farmers to focus on what they do best. Every harvest since 2019 has moved through this relationship — a quiet but powerful arrangement that turns excellent growing conditions into real, reliable livelihoods.
Grown at elevations between 1,250 and 1,500 meters in the volcanic highlands of San Marcos, this certified organic lot is fully washed and patio dried — a process that highlights the bean's natural clarity. The result is a cup that opens with dark chocolate depth, rounds into honey sweetness, and finishes with a bright, unexpected note of strawberry.
